Mike and I have known eachother since 7th grade. In 8th grade we were "boyfriend-girlfriend" for 2 entire weeks (long time in those days!) and even though I was the one to break up with him, I've had a crush on him ever since. I always encouraged my friends to date him in high school (2 of them did!) and I dated his. We lost track of eachother in college and then met up again at Christmas time in 2001. I reluctantly went to PB Bar and Grill with friends to see "people from high school" that were in town. When I saw Mike I talked to him all night long and started calling him. I remembered that he was shy and that if I wanted to hang with him I better make the calls... so I did. I talked him into going snowboarding with me and I think this sparked the flame for him. We had our first kiss (since 8th grade, ha ha) on New Year's Eve and were married May 17- just 5 1/2 months later. The actual engagement? Ha ha, there wasn't one and I tease him all the time - "you never proposed!" On sunday night we were talking about how lame it was that we lived an hour apart (me in Huntington Beach and he in Encinitas) and how much we spent on gas... and won't it be nice to save money when we're married and we can consolidate bills by living together. Then he says, "well, how about friday? let's get married on friday." I ask him if he is serious and then say, OK! So I got a dress and some rings, called my sister to take our pictures and be our witness, and we got married on Friday May 17, 2002. We spent three hours (after we got home from going out to eat) calling our family and friends telling them what we'd done. I had a great time calling people and saying, "Hi, this is Mrs. Baker!" and Mike said, "Hey, guess what we did today? Dude, I got married!" Everyone was happy for us and Mike's parents threw us a reception at their house a few weeks later. Best part: total cost of dress, rings, and ceremony was less than $800! We plan to renew our vows and have a "real" wedding on our 10 year anniversary.... this was way before digital pics, so I'll have to dig some out, scan them in and then post. What a pain =)
I tag: Mom, Vanessa, Micah, Christine, and Brooke.

See, wasn't that fun? We were married on May 20, very close! And by the way the only reason why I didn't do your book tag was because the only books I read are medical books, and I'm pretty sure nobody really cares about "Hyperthyroidism" or "otorhinolaryngology" or "diabetic ketoacidosis", see what I mean?
Where are the pics Robin?
Question: Am I Christine? Sounds like a silly question, I know, but... am I?
