I'm Married!

Well, yes, I have been married for 6 years now. But see this ring? It hasn't fit for 4 years. That's exactly how long I've owned it. But now it fits! I finally got it sized.

I didn't wear it much because a ring that is too big is pretty annoying. Just ask my mother-in-law Lee. It'll drive you crazy! I love my ring, but it also gives me a rash. Probably b/c it is too big and moisture gets stuck in all the little holes on the inside.I wear gloves all day at work (I'm a Dental Hygienist) and wash my hands constantly, so I hardly wear it there either. When I was pregnant the rash was so red and itchy that I pretty much didn't wear it at all. I try and always wear it when I leave the house with my kids on my days off... wouldn't want anyone to think I was unmarried with these kids =)

The other day I found my husband's ring sitting on top of mine in our little jewelry bin... hmmm, that's strange. After about 4 days I asked him why! It turns out he noticed I wasn't wearing my ring much and it bothered him. So he was getting back at me - ha ha. The next day I took it to get sized. When I picked it up I was so excited! It was cleaner and more sparkley than when it was brand new. I showed everyone I knew, "look at my ring!"

I feel like a newlywed or newly engaged... so proud to be sportin' my wedding ring =)
