We left Perris Tuesday afternoon and headed toward Newport Beach. I took a stroll down memory lane - my old stomping grounds from age 19-21. After we checked into our hotel we went for a run on the beach. There was HIGH SPEED winds that made the run even more difficult - but we had fun because we never get to run together.

We went to a fabulous little sushi restaraunt in Triangle Square and then headed upstairs to the Yard House for a few minutes. Tired from an exciting day, we retired early.
In the morning we headed to Newport harbor to catch the boat to Catalina Island. Looks like a lot of bags for just 3 days right?1 bag for Robin. 1 bag for Mike. 1 bag for shoes. 1 Bag for bathroom stuff. 1 bag is the Laptop. And the pump was stowed inside Mike's bag!And don't forget the most important cargo - the water bottles! I can not be without water... and magazines =).
Mike spoke too soon when he said, "we'll probably be one of the only people on the boat - it's a wednesday morning after all." There was an entire class of teenage high schoolers! They were running around the boat being crazy and immature (of course) - definitely not relaxing. LOL
The boat ride to the island took about an hour. It was a pretty bumpy ride so we were concentrating on NOT using the barf bags available at every table!
