<1998>
I turned 21. I was working full time at a law firm in Newport Beach from 8-5 and taking a full load of college classes at night from 7-10pm at Orange Coast College.
I was a clean freak - vacuumed every day. I was in great shape - taking aerobics and weight training classes at my college. I was living with Becky (met her in speech class!)
in a 2 bdrm 2bth apartment in HB and had 2 cats (Jewels & Scooter). I was 'dating' Joe Prado, father of Andrew. I bought my first new car all by myself - the black Jetta - I loved those seat warmers! I constantly changed my hair at the hair dresser - from very dark to blonde to dark w/blonde streaks. Wait, has that changed? Nope! ha ha.

I graduated from Cypress Dental Hygiene School. I am still friends with these girls today!
We were SO HAPPY on grad night!
We moved to Oceanside.
I was baptized for the second time as I rededicated my life to the Lord. I was pregnant and miscarried - twice. I got my first digital camera and a new computer. Mike bought his first new truck.
I weighed 10 more pounds than when I got married the year before. I watched "they sold their souls for rock and roll" video series and was never the same. I handed out witnessing tracts and toothbrushes to trick-or-treaters on Halloween. We didn't have kids yet so we went snowboarding a lot - we could afford it!
I got fired from a dental office for being pregnant. I thought the end was near when SD was on fire. I wanted the Lord to take me to heaven if I couldn't have babies... I cried myself to sleep every night for a few weeks. I learned to mountain bike (sort of!).
I lost Zoe kitty to a coyote.
I ran in the morning before work with my sister who lived only 3 miles away. I had a great job as a Dental Hygienist just 1 mile away from my home in Oceanside... and became good friends with the receptionist, Jennifer.

We celebrated our first Hanukkah.
I almost got a divorce...December is always very stressful for us. I was happy again when the new year came. I only got 3 hours of sleep at a time - sometimes less if both kids woke up - and only 6 hours total sleep if I was lucky. We were scheming on how to go away next year for Christmas.
I was so stressed out I couldn't even look at one of my scrapbook magazines. I was waiting patiently for Christy Beckman to give birth. I weighed over 10 pounds more than I do now!
I started to BLOG...now maybe that's my problem - hmmm... I LOVED MY BOYS LIKE CRAZY but wished they would just sleep a little more! Jackson taught Owen how to skate on his new Tony Hawk.
I gave our babysitter a 2 page scrapbook layout ("Thankful for you, Beth") inside a book as a gift - and will continue to fill it for her.

I love the picture of you and Mike on your graduation night. You look beautiful and Mike looks all kinds of cheesey. :)
You've come far Lady. Especially since those Duran Duran listening, cheerleading "H" days of high school!
I think your story is awesome. We all have our ups and downs but your priorities sure seem to be alligned perfectly.
Thanks for sharing, loved the pics.
