This is an everyday occurrence in my house. A 2 year old that goes from normal to screaming and crying in 2 seconds flat...for no apparent reason. Just because!
What I did right before this video: put hot dogs in microwave. Period. Trying to be a nice mom and feed my kids lunch....when all of the sudden there is a hysterical 2 year old underfoot.
In time out chair trying to figure out the (perceived) problem. Because I know what the real problem is - a strong willed, yet sensitive, 2 year old.

After continued tantruming in the time out chair I sent him to his room
Once the battle was over - 30 minutes or so later - he is back to "normal" and eating said hot dogs.
This happens EVERY day. Sometimes more than once. Or twice. Or three times if it's a bad day. I never experienced this with my first born - he was rambunctious but a people pleaser.
Whoa nelly, I just pray he grows out of it some day.

lol gotta love motherhood! I know it's frusturating, but i think you're you're doing everything right. SOOOOO much harder on you than them! (even though they don't act like it)
Very difficult for a 2 year old to understand why they are crying. What you perceived was that it was over hot dogs going in the microwave. What I heard him saying was more than once he wanted to be lifted up! By you, and then by his Daddy. I have experienced many adults squalling away and they could not tell you why. Just hug and hold and lots of love, will make the tears go away.
I could not agree more than with anonymous above. A sensitive child will need a little more loving care. You are doing great Robin, 3 boys is a lot of work, psychology, and hugs.
Love MOM
just like jessica!!!!!!!!!
just.like.her
did you get a hold of verna?
hopefully she can help. its been working (though jessica has still been testing). we've been ignoring any "tantrums" and giving LOTS of attention and hugs.
its really hard to be a mom, isn't it?
but your boys are so lucky to have you as a mother!
