The Best Part

Ever have a holiday that turns out really bad? That was my Mother's day this year. Horrible. The first 2 hours were good and then it was all down hill from there. At one point I couldn't find the new kitty (oops, haven't blogged about her yet) and that just sent me over the edge. I retreated to my room to lock the doors and cry for awhile. Later in the evening when I was all alone, I decided to drown my sorrows in In-N-Out - with a chocolate shake, fries, and a cheeseburger. Little did I know that they gave me the wrong burger! I didn't open it until I got home and it was a double double with ONLY cheese. Not one other thing on it! OH MY. Murphy's law! Luckily I had some lettuce,tomatoes, & condiments...but seriously? Really? Very disappointing. And then of course I feel guilty for being upset - like it's selfish and un-Christian like to want a good Mother's day. Anytime you're too focused on yourself I guess you get what you deserve.
