Hello 2015! I am only accepting ONE or TWO births per month, as the birth photographer and doula. Doula services are available as an addition to photography and as a stand alone service. I offer a complimentary meeting to anyone interesting in my services. Please email me if you'd like to chat! robin@birthblessingsphotography.com

My 2009 Word

I decided to join Ali in her One Little Word project. In 2007 she wrote, "A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.Last fall in issue two of this newsletter I wrote about the power of words and gave my top ten tips for getting those words down when you are scrapbooking. Today I want to introduce you to the idea that a single word can be a catalyst for enriching your life as well as your scrapbook layouts.Last year I began a tradition of chosing one word for myself each January - a word that I can focus on, mediate on, and reflect upon as I go about my daily life. Last year my word was something I wanted to bring into my life in a more tangible way."
This year my word is READ.

I love to read my Bible and books in general. I love buying them, collecting them, organizing them, smelling them, and loaning them out. Since the birth of my boys I have gotten out of the habbit. Reading has taken a backseat to the crazy life I now lead. I spend way more time on the computer (now that I discovered blogger and facebook) than I would like to and really want to get back to reading good old fashion books.

Luke 4:4 "But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"

Isaiah 40:8 "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Have you chosen a word for the year?
