PreSchool Christmas Program

Grace Lutheran Church and School had a "Living Nativity" on Saturday night. The Biblical Christmas story was told with humans, animals, and singing.
Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus (a doll) were visited by angels and shepherds.
The wise men came to give gifts and bow down and worship Jesus
as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Mathew 2:1-2)

Owen was squeeling with delight at the animals. He keep pointing and saying "goat!"
He begged me after the show to pet the sheep - and the caretaker was nice enough to let him. He was exstatic!

After the living Nativity, the pre-schoolers kicked off the Saturday night church service with a Christmas performance. Boy were they CUTE! They sang two songs - Jingle Bells and Jesus Loves Me and then did a little skit with their hands.
See that cute boy in the front row? That's my Jackson.
Let's get a little closer so you can see him trying to undress himself! The entire first song I was pleading with him to stop undoing the buttons and just sing the song....
Meanwhile the poor kid next to him was bawling his eyes out. I was trying not to laugh.
Trying is the key word.
...but then he started to do the "pee pee" dance and I almost lost it. I'm going to have a naked wet 3 year old on stage at church! OH NO! Seriously cracks me up everytime I think about it. Pre-school is awesome!

After the show Jackson hitched a ride on POP and we laughed all the way home. Oh wait. We had Owen in the car. Ah yes, I remember now. He CRIED the entire car ride. Yes yes. My little Owen. He makes 10 minutes in the car seem like an hour. But we did have fun once we were home and reviewed the video with Mike's parents, Barry and Lee. They stopped by to give us a gift from grandparents. Owen pretended like he was a perfect angel and Jackson showed off. Fun fun!

Too funny! It was SOOOOOO weird to see that video, I went to that church every Sunday evening and Christmas Eve with my grandparents for YEARS, my grandpa used to be a fixture there. So strange to see that sanctuary in a different context! I loved the pee pee dance at the end.....
Love Christy
