RAW is RAD!

My poor little Jackson has had horrible problems with constipation since his first ear infection and subsequent dose of antibiotics, at just 5 months old. (Interesting article on antibiotics and the gut here). We've tried everything the doctors told us to do with no success. During potty training it got even worse and there was blood for 3 weeks straight. Poor baby was horrified.

The problem is he has a great diet.... except he loves milk. I remembered reading something about RAW milk in Jordan Rubin's book "Perfect Weight America." So I decided to research milk and see if I could find some that was RAW. Our local health food store, Jimbos, carries several different kinds. I bought this organic 1/2 gallon for $7.25.
Expensive? Yes. But my poor baby is worth it.
Another yummy find: Raw cheddar cheese. It is the GREATEST TASTING CHEESE that has ever passed my lips! What would you expect from the Amish?
Nothing but the best in natural products!
I'm not the only fan of the cheese.... the kids LOVE it too.
Jackson's first sip of RAW milk
looks like he likes it

um, ya... he loves it! It tastes fabulousWhile all the RAW enjoyment and picture snapping was going on.... mischief was happening on the other side of the kitchen!
This kid breaks dishes in 2 seconds flat. I swear, I'm not negligent!
Back to the milk... he loved it and it solved all his problems. It didn't take long to help his little digestive system. From day one of drinking the new milk, he actually volunteered to go poo poo on the potty and it came out totally normal and pain free. This went on every day he drank the milk. The day it ran out - he didn't go! Then when we bought more - yup, more normal poo poo and a very happy toddler. Plus very very very happy parents - our hour long crying battles in the bathroom are over!
I don't care how much it costs, it's worth it's weight in gold.
If you or anyone you know sufferers from constipation or irritable bowel syndrome, I recommend RAW milk! That's the way it has been used for thousands of years - straight from the cow. The health benefits are many.
