Surrogate

sur·ro·gate (sûr-gt, -gt, sr-)n.
1. One that takes the place of another; a substitute.

When our beloved Lamb chop is getting a bath....

....Jackson has to find a surrogate co-sleeper
On the right is his baby. Standard. On the left is Owen's baby - he specifically asked for that when I told him Lamb was still drying.
After a few minutes of unsuccessful attempts to fall asleep sans his lovey- he broke out the big guns - the Alligator. Who would have ever guessed that monstrous stuffed animal could be the surrogate for sweet little lamb chop.

I removed the alligator and replaced it with a "so fresh and so clean" Lamb while Jackson was fast asleep. Even in a dead sleep he immediately recognizes Lamb and starts to kiss and rub his face with him.
"Lamby on the eyes" and he's off to a deep sleep again
I could put together an entire scrapbook with pictures of that Lamb.... I might be just as attached to him as Jackson is. Everyone that knows us, even a little, knows Lamb. I can only pray that he is never lost....

Oh my gosh, this is TOO funny! One never really thinks about alligators and lambys being interchangable! The alligator simply would'nt do on Jackson's eyes, it would take in his nose, mouth, throat...glad he loves lamby the most.

Awh! Alligators don't have ears that can be rubbed like lamb chops. How cute, the alligator is huge!
