September 11th

September 11th, 2001 is a day that everyone remembers. I have very few vivid memories like I do from that day. It was early in the morning and I was getting ready for my second week in hygiene school. My roommate yelled, "Rob, turn on the TV!!!"

Uncertainty, fear, shock and disbelief. What is going on? Is this the end of the world? Did I miss the rapture? Was I left behind? Oh no, what is going on? Darn it, I have to go to school. It was a very numb day.
I actually knew very little about the WTC before 9-11. Seeing as I've never been to New York and was a non-political young female immersed in college life for years and years, it's really not that hard to believe. After that day, I learned. And mourned. What a loss. I was very thankful for Bush and his immediate attack on terrorism.

Today, we wear Red, White, and Blue.
We are proud to be Americans. Today and every day.
We are thankful for our freedom, that is paid by the blood of our soldiers. And our ultimate freedom paid by the blood of the Lamb of God - Himself.
Thank you firefighters, military personnel, volunteers, and servants of the Lord for all you did during 9-11 and the aftermath.
We will remember this day always.
