Plan of Action

I had a few disappointing months in the working out/running department...first was my IT Band injury that prevented me from doing the AFC Half Marathon, and then came a very busy summer. I've gotten used to my new work schedule (M,W,TH and every other F) and taking the kids to 2 different places (Jackson goes to pre-school!). My little Owen has been weaned for a week now. The dust has settled (but luckily it gets cleaned once a week now by the housekeepers!) and I am back in action! I am ready to lose the last 10 pounds (well 7 really) and run my first half marathon (Silver Strand Half on Nov. 16th).

Plan of Action
1. Get motivated - check!
2. Make a schedule - check!

3. Post the schedule where DH (dear husband) and DW (dear wife) will see it daily - check!
4. Tell the world so they will check up on you and see how you're doing - accountability! - check!
5. Get workout buddies - check! (but I'd love to have more than just Christy... come on people!)
6. Chart my progress and failures - check!
7. Read The Maker's Diet by Jordan Rubin
8. Stay motivated and keep my eye on the goal
9. Reward myself when the goal (115 lbs and completed Half Marathon) is achieved - go shopping for a pair of designer jeans =)
10. Drink more water, and then even some more! (READ THIS)
11. Eat every 3 hours - no skipping. Be prepared and bring healthy snacks everywhere. (EAT MORE and LOSE MORE!)
12. REST and Fast after the Half - yeah! (I love doing this and haven't been able to for over 4 years due to pregnancy and nursing.)

Let me just tell you...it's already working! I've finally lost another pound =). Run Robin Run!

It sure would be nice to be a workout buddy...too bad we live so far away! Gas-wise, not so good.

too bad I got pregnant 2 weeks later, ha ha. Now that it's July 2009 and I have my baby boy Gavin I'm revisiting these goals and starting over. I love my baby!
