Hello 2015! I am only accepting ONE or TWO births per month, as the birth photographer and doula. Doula services are available as an addition to photography and as a stand alone service. I offer a complimentary meeting to anyone interesting in my services. Please email me if you'd like to chat! robin@birthblessingsphotography.com

Not what I signed up for....

Laundry. Totally out of control. Clean laundry, dirty laundry, in between laundry. IT'S EVERYWHERE! I absolutely can not get a handle on it. It is generated way faster than I can wash, dry, fold, hang, and put away. How do people do it? I don't see this crazy laundry problem at other people's houses...is it just ME? Am I a slacker? Certainly not... maybe I'm a laundry slacker? I swear I do it EVERY day. The boys alone create an entire load daily - all by themselves! I don't know what the trick is, but every time I have a visitor at my house they end up folding my laundry! LOL! Seriously! There is always a clean pile on the little couch that is in progress - always! No one ever sits on it - it's the designated laundry couch... good thing it's leather, wouldn't want anything but the best for my laundry to rest on. See Mike laying on the floor? That is after he collapsed from sheer laundry exhaustion (he has a low tolerance) - and there was nowhere left for him to watch sports, but the floor...I felt so bad for him that I promptly came over and snapped a photo while laughing.

Yesterday I had Jackson help me sort the dirty laundry in the garage while Owen took a 2 hour morning nap. It was very educational - sorting, colors, numbers, etc. He liked to tease me and put a piece in the wrong color pile just to see if I was paying attention. Do you see all the colors? Brown, black, blue, white, gray, red/purple, towels, etc. etc. We have enough to actually separate it that much! Now if he was just old enough to help me fold, hang and put away, I'd really be in business. Now do you understand why one of my new year's resolutions includes "getting a better system for laundry?"
I frequently tell my mother, "this is not what I signed up for mom! If you would've warned me about this laundry thing I might have reconsidered getting married and having kids!" This of course causes great bursts of laughter...

Oh my gosh, I HATE laundry worse than any other task! I think I hate it so much because it's never ending no matter what.

My advice, buy less clothes, that way they can't pile up so high! Oh, I remember the toddler days, and girls love to change their clothes frequently and take lots of baths! Ugh! You should be a laundry expert by now Rob....LOL!
