Who starts running at the age of 31 after having 2 kids in 2 years? Crazy right? Well yes, ME! Special thanks to my sisters-in-law: 1-Brooke: for the idea of doing step aerobics a few months after giving birth last year - this showed me how incredibly out of shape I was... the worst in my life!2-Christine: for the idea of making 2008 the year to shape up! She talked us into the world famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run. 3- Katie: for making us blog our workouts - this was incredibly motivating!
More special thanks to my long time best friend Christy Beckman for giving me free coaching/running advice... and my other long time best friend Mary Hattendorf for running right by my side at my first race! Last, but should've been first, my studly husband Mike - for leading by example, and encouraging, complimenting, and congratulating me. LOVE YOU ALL! I really would not have done it without you because, after my history of knee problems, I didn't think it was possible.
In preparation for the 10K in June, we thought it wise to do a shorter 5k first. We settled on the Autism 5K in Balboa Park on March 29 - my husband's 31st birthday =).

I can't believe we never ran into you! Especially with Mike, Jackson and Owen! We walked around and around. Congrats on doing such a good job--I'm so impressed!!
